SELL GOLD JEWELLERY
Jewellery of an antique nature, be it Roman or Viking, and jewellery by certain makers such as Cartiér, Van Cleef and Arpels, Boucheron, Andrew Grima and others are usually worth considerably more than just their precious metal value.
If you have such an item, or simply a small group of everyday gold jewellery, Jethro Marles welcomes the opportunity of advising you without charge.

GOLD JEWELLERY. Whilst it will be hoped that your gold jewellery will be considered more valuable than its intrinsic value, it’s often the case that it will be worth a price linked directly to its bullion value. As bullion dealers, the amount we would pay for such items could be as much as 40% more than the amount you might receive when compared to selling at auction.
All precious metals, including gold, platinum and silver, have a liquid value that varies constantly. The price we pay is linked to the current price for that metal.
There are many examples of modern jewellery and related items which we often recommend are sold for their bullion value rather than selling at auction, including charm bracelets, necklaces, watch chains, wedding rings, mesh purses, clutch bags, trophy cups and cigarette cases, to name a few.
The price paid by Jethro Marles is based on the ongoing ‘Spot’ price or the official ‘Gold Fix’, the price determined twice each business day by the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). For hallmarked jewellery, we pay the stated gold fix less 6% for amounts up to £1,999, less 5% for amounts between £2,000 and £5,999 and less 4% for quantities in excess of £6,000.
