Diamonds come in all shapes, sizes, colours and qualities. In ancient times,
the diamond was revered as a gem with mystical properties that would protect
it’s wearer from all manner of misfortune. Today, the value of a diamond is
assessed according to precise criteria as laid down by various governing bodies
associated with the diamond trade.
If I am making an item of jewellery for you that requires diamonds weighing
in excess of 0.25 carats, you will be shown stones of the quality that match
your budget, as well as more and less expensive examples.
To enquire about the diamonds that I currently have in stock, please telephone
(01803) 813781 or
email me.
In the case of ‘white’ diamonds, a stone without colour and without flaws
is more valuable than one that displays even the slightest imperfection.
But beware, minute differences in these qualities are difficult to see
by the untrained eye and make a considerable difference to the value and the
price you should be paying, especially when judged in consideration of other
important factors such as the weight and cut of the stone.
Diamonds occur naturally in almost every shade of every colour. I can
supply diamonds in shades of Pink, Blue and Yellow.

Because the way diamonds are cut has changed over the
years, I maintain a stock to cover every eventuality. This is particularly important
for accurate restoration and remodelling, or if you are creating a new item
in an older style.
